In this first novel of a new trilogy, a group of veteran New Republic pilots transforms from hunted to hunters amid the chaos following the fall of the Empire. Set after Return of the Jedi, the story centers on Yrica Quell, a defector from the Imperial cause, who finds herself in a shantytown for deserters. Her life takes a turn when she is chosen to join Alphabet Squadron, a diverse team of pilots each flying different starfighters. Tasked by General Hera Syndulla, their mission is to track down and eliminate the dangerous Shadow Wing, a group of TIE fighters wreaking havoc in their final moments of power. The squadron embodies the spirit of the Rebellion—resourceful and scrappy—but transitioning from underdogs to heroes proves challenging. Each member grapples with personal demons that threaten their mission as much as their enemies. To safeguard the hard-won peace, they must learn to work together. This novel is part of a crossover event with Marvel’s TIE Fighter miniseries, which explores Shadow Wing's attempts to undermine the New Republic.
